Michael Cannon

CURRENT ROLE:
As an Investment Analyst, Michael is tasked with helping to manage the public equity investments.

BEFORE BRIDGEPORT:
Michael originally started his career as an insurance underwriter before joining an investment team which managed the assets of an insurance company. More recently, Michael worked at a newly created single-family office where he was responsible for both publicly traded and private investments.

EDUCATION:
Earned a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) Degree with a major in Applied Economics from Queen’s University. He is also a CFA Charterholder.

WHAT HE LOVES MOST ABOUT HIS JOB:
“Finding undervalued investments requires having an open mind, being endlessly curious about the world, all while maintaining discipline. Its a bit like solving a riddle or a puzzle.”

ON THE WEEKENDS:
On the weekend, Michael spends his time watching movies and trying new restaurants. If it’s a long weekend, you might find him catching a flight to some foreign destination with his camera in tow.
