Introducing Bridgeport's Private Real Estate & Infrastructure Fund

Back to Articles

The endowment model — a type of asset allocation inspired by university endowment investment styles (particularly Yale University’s $42 billion-dollar fund) — consists of a blend of typical investments like public stocks and bonds complimented by allocations to less traditional investments such as private credit, private equity and “hard assets” (real estate, infrastructure and commodities).

Investors have long sought the higher and less volatile returns offered by the endowment model, but historically only large institutions such as pension funds, endowments and family offices have had the ability to access these opportunities because of high minimum investment requirements and the complexities involved.

In this vein, we are pleased to announce the recent launch of Bridgeport’s Private Real Estate & Infrastructure Fund. The fund, which rounds-out Bridgeport’s suite of public and private investment portfolios, bundles all the benefits enjoyed by larger institutional investors in a single investment vehicle designed specifically for individual private clients.

The fund is open-ended, redeemable on a quarterly basis and eligible for all types of investment accounts including corporate accounts, trusts, TFSAs, RRSPs and RRIFs.

Bridgeport’s Private Real Estate & Infrastructure Fund has already made a number of investments which provide investors with exposure to hundreds of real estate properties and infrastructure assets around the world.
